The first commercially available version of the GoReact online video feedback system was released today by SpeakWorks, Inc. at www.goreact.com.
The cloud-based GoReact system, developed at Brigham Young University in 2010, offers the perfect video coaching and analysis tool for both classroom and professional environments.
After being tested in more than 50 classes at BYU, instructors found that student participation in watching their own video (when not required) increased from 10% to over 90%. They also found that presenters improved significantly more using GoReact than with other critique processes.
GoReact takes the usual hassles out of recording a presentation for coaching or feedback. Normally instructors are forced to juggle recording media, feedback forms, uploading/downloading of video files, and more in order to successfully critique a recorded student presentation.
With GoReact, the entire process is managed online. Video is captured live with a webcam, reviewers (including any number of peers) can type comments and enter ratings in real time, and the commented video is then available instantly and securely to the presenter after recording is completed.
The GoReact system is useful in a number of instructional scenarios, including public speaking, group presentations, mock interviews, student teaching observation, mock trials, and even performing arts.
SpeakWorks, Inc. has been developing the commercially available version of GoReact, built from the original system developed at BYU. GoReact is now being piloted in university and corporate environments.
About GoReact: GoReact was originally developed at Brigham Young University and pioneered live in-class presentation feedback using its patent-pending sync technology. Today, GoReact is the premier platform for video-based skill development across many disciplines, simplifying the lives of instructors and coaches who use video to improve performance-based skills for their students.
